Getting
here
Both
venues are approx, 2 hours from Glasgow,
depending on traffic. You follow the A83
round Loch Lomond, straight on at Tarbet
down through Inverary to Lochgilphead.
For
the Anchor Hotel you carry on the A83 for
another 14 miles to Tarbert.
For
Ardifuir you turn right at the 3rd
roundabout in Lochgilphead towards Cairnbaan,
fork left there to Kilmichael. Carry on one
mile past Kilmichael, where there is a small
sign on the left saying Crinan Ferry. You
follow that road, which is single track, for
a few miles until you come to crossroads,
where you go straight on. You will then see
the sea, and come to a T junction with
Crinan Ferry to the left, there you take a
right. A few hundred metres on there is a
private road off to the left go along there
and you will see the castle in the horizon.
Before you reach the castle the road forks,
you go left up the small steep hill and
straight on over the cattle grid and 11/2 m
miles down a deserted track. At the end of
all that you will find Ardifuir cottage!!
